Storytime in Martins FerryKeeping with the fall theme of Storytime Around the World, we will be learning all about the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, in Storytime during the last week of October. We will be playing traditional Dia de los Muertos games and creating crafts tailored for the preschool audience, as well as learning songs and reading stories based on our theme. We encourage our Storytime families to dress in their Halloween costumes and participate in our “trick or treat” around the library during their weekly Storytime session. Four library locations offer monthly book club meetings. The branch libraries in Shadyside, Powhatan Point, Bethesda and Bridgeport have regular monthly book club meetings for both fiction and nonfiction readers and teens. Please visit the book club page on our website for more information. |

Board of Trustees to Meet at Shadyside Branch in OctoberBoard Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The Board typically meets at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Martins Ferry Public Library. The October meeting will be held at the Shadyside Branch located at 4300 Central Ave, Shadyside, OH.
