Recover Deleted Files

There are a lot of ways to recover deleted files from all sorts of devices, but for today we are going to stick with Windows.  One of the new things I learned is that you can use ctl + z to recover deleted files  If you accidentally delete the wrong file you can hold down the ctl key and tap z immediately afterwards and the file will pop right back out of the recycle bin and restore itself.

If you have cleared out the recycle bin then you are in a bit of trouble, but it may still be recoverable.  Geeks for Geeks have some good recovery instructions.  Move down to method 3 and it will show you how to use Windows Control Panel to recover your file.

Are You Looking For A New Desktop Computer?

In the past 6 months I have had quite a few people ask me about suggestions for a new desktop computer.  While there are a lot of options I have told everyone who doesn't play video games to get a Mac Mini.  I don't often recommend Apple products, but this small computer for $600 is as fast as many Windows computer that are $1,000 or more.  Apple is usually not a company that cares about people on a budget, but if your can stretch yours to at least $600 it is the best computer in that price range period.  Do keep in mind that it doesn't include a monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. but in most cases you can use your old computer's peripherals with the Mac Mini.

You can even get them cheaper with a full warranty if you buy Apple Refurbished.

If you are looking for a PC at the same price HP has a decent deal right now too.  It is not as fast as the Mac, but it will more than enough for most people and it has a lot more storage the the Mac.

Digital Learn Classes

Ben Bahl applied for and won a grant recently!  He will be using some of that money to teach more classes in the next couple months.  It will be a different trainer and content then I teach, so if you have attended my version of the class it is probably worth attending, because you can get a different perspective than I give.  If you see anything of interest to you come on down.
