Mysteries-Police Procedurals The police procedural is a sub-genre of detective fiction which depicts the activities of a police force as they investigate crime. Unlike the traditional detective novel which usually concentrates on just one case, this genre can have a few investigations going on at once. Also, the perpetrator can be known to the reader from the very beginning, but not always. Police procedurals may include forensics, evidence gathering, the use of search warrants, and interrogation. Click on the link in each series to find titles in publication order.
