The library begins Summer Hours on Sunday, May 28 - we will be closed on Sundays May 28 through September 3.
BPL will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
Check out BPL's Holds Lockers!
The library’s new lockers are ready for use! Access library materials even when the library is closed by picking up your holds at the new lockers, located to the right of our main entrance. Picking up holds at the lockers is both convenient and contactless.
Using the lockers is easy!
Place a hold and select the lockers as your pickup location.
Wait for the library to contact you; you’ll receive notifications by email, text, or phone call that your items are available.
Scan your Bloomingdale library card at the lockers to pick up your materials!
Time is running out to become a VolunTeen:
Applications are due May 14
Are you a student going into grades 7-12 in Fall 2023? Are you looking for a fun way to get job experience, earn service hours, or make a difference in the community? If so, the Bloomingdale Public Library VolunTEENs program is looking for you! During your summer vacation, we’ll develop a schedule to fit your availability and our programming needs. You’ll work 10-15 hours over the 8-week program with BPL's Youth Services staff preparing crafts, keeping the library tidy, and helping with special projects. Summer is an exciting time at the library—be a part of it!
If you are interested in joining our group of amazing VolunTEENs, applications can be picked up in the library at the Youth Services desk or found on our website at mybpl.org/volunteer.
Please contact Carol Leeson, VolunTEEN Coordinator, at 630-924-2744 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding the program.
Summer Reading begins June 1! Bloomingdale residents will receive a mailer in
early May with all of the registration details and fun program information.
We hope to see you here this summer!
