Big Library Read!
May 15th to May 29th
Join #BigLibraryRead May 15th and borrow ‘Uncommon Measure’ by Natalie Hodges on the Libby App with no waitlists or holds!  Uncommon Measure explores these questions from the perspective of a young Korean American who dedicated herself to perfecting her art until performance anxiety forced her to give up the dream of becoming a concert solo violinist. Anchoring her story in illuminating research in neuroscience and quantum physics, Hodges traces her own passage through difficult family dynamics, prejudice, and enormous personal expectations to come to terms with the meaning of a life reimagined—one still shaped by classical music but moving toward the freedom of improvisation.   Learn more at:

Celebrating 30 Years of the Cobourg Public Library
on Ontario Street!
This year marks our 30th anniversary of serving the citizens of Cobourg and Hamilton Township from our beautiful building on Ontario Street.
We will be celebrating with an Open House on Sunday, September 28th
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Each month, we will feature how our Library has changed and evolved over the last 30 years.
This month, we are featuring the Adult Fiction Section.  On Chapel Street this collection was spread between two different rooms.  When we moved to Ontario Street, the paperback spinners were in the Reading Room.  By 2005, the spinners had moved.  In 2015, the Music CDs and our new Video Game collection could be found in this area as well.   This area today is now home to our Binge Bundle collection and our Seed Library, in addition to the Music CDs, along with the Adult Graphic Novels.  By the Check Out Desk there is a notice board with upcoming programs.
