Holodomor National Awareness Tour Tuesday, August 27th - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Holodomor Mobile Classroom (HMC), a state-of-the-art education center, helps educate Canadians of all ages on the tragic historic events of the Holodomor and is a key component of The Holodomor National Awareness Tour. Its goal is to raise awareness of the Holodomor, to promote Canadian values of human rights, civility, and democracy and help build a diverse & tolerant society.

Kid Librarian Program - All LocationsApply Online - and you could be chosen!We are looking for Cobourg Public Library members who like to read and who would like to share their favourite books with the community, by creating a special Kid Librarian book display. Ages 6 to 12 years. Youth Services Department How To Apply: Submit an online application form: https://forms.cobourg.ca/Library/Kid-Librarian-Application. The application will ask for your name, age, contact information, when you are available to create a display, and for a list of some of the junior picture book, junior fiction book, or junior non-fiction book titles that you would like to share. Applicants will be randomly selected to become the next Kid Librarian.

Friendly Reminder Pre-Overdue Email Can you remember when your items are due? Would you like to save on fines, and possibly never have overdue items again? Of course you would! To sign up, simply provide a valid email address for staff to add to your membership. You will receive an email 3-days before an item is due, giving you time to renew it (if no one is waiting) or bring it back to the Library.

Period Promise - Help end period poverty We are proud to be a distribution and donation point for The Period Promise which is a collaborative effort between United Way and Thrive Northumberland to help eliminate period poverty. If you're interested in donating period products or are in need, please talk to staff or head to one of our washrooms. You can drop off your period product donations to our Cobourg Branch. Led locally by Thrive Northumberland and Northumberland United Way. Each donation will be used to provide access to period products throughout Northumberland.
