This summer, the Cobourg Public Library’s
TD Summer Reading Club was an undeniable success! |
|
|
We welcomed an impressive 226 readers to the club across our four library branches.
Over the past eight weeks, we have received a grand total of 1,031 book reports! These outstanding achievements would not have been possible without the efforts of the Library Staff, parents, caregivers and readers. Thank you so much for encouraging and celebrating literacy within our community. Congratulations to our TDSRC Prize Pack winners! |

Teen Summer Reading Club |
Our Teen Summer Reading Club wrapped up after an 8-week run this summer. It was inspiring to witness teens reading unique stories, delving into diverse genres, and discovering new authors. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the teens who participated in the program. A huge congratulations goes out to our Teen Summer Reading Club winner, Callie! |

How the Cobourg Public Library has evolved to serve you over the last 30 years
| Public Computers |
On Chapel Street, there were no public computers. Searching was done using the card catalogue. There was a CD Rom station that allowed you to search the Southern Ontario Library holdings.
The first public internet station was introduced in 1996 - and featured a dial-up connection and an inkjet printer. Over the years, we have introduced more computers, scanners, a faster internet connection, and privacy screens.
We now offer colour printing, copying and scanning. Check out this area and more at our Open House on September 28th! Read more about the Library's history. |
