How the Cobourg Public Library has evolved to serve you over the last 30 years
| Local History Room |
This collection has grown and changed significantly over the last 30 years. The original microfilm readers have long since gone - replaced with digital microfilm/fiche readers - allowing you to capture a digital image of an article of interest. There are dedicated research computers to search Ancestry Library Edition, CemSearch and other genealogical sites. The collection has been split into Local History and Genealogy resources. Whether you want to research your family's history, learn the history of your home or more about the local towns and villages - this is the room for you!
