This collection of wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts and rope allows children to follow their curiosity through play while learning 21st century skills. There are no right or wrong answers; the act of playing and building is the goal, not the finished product. The Rigamajig will be available in the children’s room during the aforementioned dates and times.

1st Grade Book Club

Discovery Room
Children who are currently in first grade are invited to join a monthly book club to practice their reading skills. We will meet on the third Monday of each month to discuss a book we’ve read at home beforehand. We will discuss the book, read sections aloud, play a game, and have a small snack. Registration is required to join the book club. Please register your child at the information desk or call us at 650-574-4842 to register your child. Pick up the book at the information desk when you register your child and your child will need to bring the book with him or her when the book club meets.
