Art Resources Transfer (A.R.T.) also provides public institutions with free art books through the D.U.C. Library Program.  If you are not already a participant, place your order of free art books here.

National Book Festival
The 20th annual National Book Festival! is now four weeks away.  The Festival was founded in 2001 by Laura Bush and then-Librarian of Congress Dr. James H. Billington as a joint effort between the White House and the Library of Congress.  The Washington Convention Center has hosted the event in recent years, and now, in 2020, the Library will host its first fully virtual, internationally accessible online festival.  PBS television stations will broadcast “The Library of Congress National Book Festival: Celebrating American Ingenuity,” a two-hour special program featuring some of the nation’s most renowned authors and literary voices, on Sunday, September 27, 6:00-8:00 p.m.  The television special will be hosted by Hoda Kotb of NBC News’ “TODAY.” It will also be available for on-demand streaming online and through the PBS app.

Reopening Plans
Library patrons have been calling RCLS to ask if their local library has reopened.  It is important that we have the most current information available to share with them.  Member library directors, please ensure that RCLS has the most up-to-date data about your reopening plans.  View the current information at COVID 19 Library Reopenings list.  Contact Eileen Acosta at RCLS (ext. 221 or email) with any updates.  Thank you!
