Join the Friends of Moffat Library as they step back in time and explore the medieval collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art “The Cloisters” Thursday October 12, 2023 ~ 9:30am to 5:00pm Photo Credit: Jose Olivares A West Point Coach will depart from St Mary’s Church parking lot (42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, NY) at 9:30am. The bus will depart at 3pm for its return to Washingtonville. The Cloisters, located in Manhattan, incorporates medieval Europe into a modern museum with architectural elements as well as works of art and gardens. Enjoy an hour-long staff guided tour of interior gothic structures and art works. Use your remaining time for individual exploration of the cloistered gardens & exterior landscape with vistas of the Hudson River or to revisit areas of interest including the special exhibit of over 50 art works that explore the role of class and medieval household objects. The all-inclusive cost is $70/person - Cash or check only. Make checks payable to FOML. A non-refundable payment is required by September 20. Register at the circulation desk at the Moffat Library. For information, please call 845-496-5483 ext 323. Lunch is not included but refreshments and light fare are available for purchase in the onsite themed King John Tavern. Picnicking is not allowed on the Cloister property, but the adjacent Fort Tryon Park is available.

On August 12th, The Pine Bush Library held its annual “Farm Day at the Library!” 250 people shared in the fun! There were lots of adults and children touching, feeding and holding the animals for the first time in their lives! The pictures only depict part of the great array of animals, games, and community resources in attendance at the event that day.
