RCLS ROAD TRIP
Take a library-themed road trip this summer!
Between June 26th and September 8th, the libraries of the Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS) throughout Sullivan, Rockland, Orange, and southern Ulster counties are inviting people of all ages to participate in the RCLS Road Trip.
The goal of the Road Trip is for library users to visit as many of the 47 RCLS libraries as they can throughout the summer months, picking up prizes along the way. Learn about the different programs and services each library offers to its community. To start your trip, visit any RCLS library to pick up a Road Trip Map and pick up your first prize. Follow RCLS and your local library on social media for tips and tricks to exploring the area and enjoying libraries.

You are welcome to a special program in place of musical storytime this week! Children and their families will have fun singing along with acclaimed musical artists Lucyane Bouchardet and Joe Mennonna. Music from around the world is their specialty and for this program they will bring it to the children's realm with a collection of sing-along folk songs.

|
|
Lucyane Bouchardet, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Brazil. She has performed extensively in both countries including Carnegie Hall and made several TV appearances in Brazil. She is currently alto soloist for The Church of St. Mary in Greenwich, CT.
Joe Mennonna is a freelance musician with a wide-ranging musical career spanning liturgical and educational, as well as studio and live performing in jazz, rock, folk and classical genres. He has toured with The Bacon Brothers and folk legends Tom Rush, Don McLean, Al Stewart, and Janis Ian. He is also a Grammy nominee (2009, Best Musical Album for Children). |
