Summer is nearly here and the library has a spectacular selection of programs planned for kids of all ages throughout July and August. This summer is going to be an adventure!

Ride in the Library's 

Trout Parade Float! 

The library is inviting kids of all ages to ride in our Trout Parade float! Better yet, they are encouraged to style their own decorations! Stop by the library anytime before June 8th to pick up a "trout" wand that can be decorated at home and waved from the float.

Deep Water Literary Festival

"Deep Water goes beyond the standard model of a writers festival and invites the audience to engage in the world of books beyond the page."

The fifth Deep Water Literary Festival will take place Friday, June 21st through Sunday, June 23rd in Narrowsburg, NY. Attendees will enjoy author panels, readings, performances, community engagement and more. Sullivan County's new Poet Laureate, Kevin Graham, will be on the opening panel marking his first official engagement with the community. He will join the festival's diverse and esteemed list of visiting writers and artists. Tickets are available on the festival's website.

Celebrating Pride Month

June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month. While libraries across the country face challenges for their wide-ranging and inclusive materials, they remain a vital resource, preserving the immense history and cultural diversity of the United States and the world, including the contributions and legacy of LGBTQ individuals.   • ages 3-10

  • designed for children with disabilities, neurodiverse children, and their families 

  • explore a different sense each month

  • engage in sensory-based activities, stories, and guided play

  • flutist Joe Bergstein will accompany each session with soothing music

Maria Grimaldi of Panther Rock Farm will be available twice a month throughout the summer to test soils, diagnose plant diseases, and give tips on plant care for FREE!

For Diagnosis:


  • samples of plants
  • samples of leaves
  • dead insects/pests
  • pictures of your botanical problems
  • a small cup of soil
    (must be taken from a min. depth of 3-4 inches)
