Not interested in coming along for the ride? The library will be closed, but we will have a table in Renaissance Park all day! Stop by from 10:00am-4:00pm to say hello, place a bid in the Silent Auction, or sign up for exciting Summer Youth Activities!
"Deep Water goes beyond the standard model of a writers festival and invites the audience to engage in the world of books beyond the page."
The fifth Deep Water Literary Festival will take place Friday, June 21st through Sunday, June 23rd in Narrowsburg, NY. Attendees will enjoy author panels, readings, performances, community engagement and more. Sullivan County's new Poet Laureate, Kevin Graham, will be on the opening panel marking his first official engagement with the community. He will join the festival's diverse and esteemed list of visiting writers and artists. Tickets are available on the festival's website.
June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month. While libraries across the country face challenges for their wide-ranging and inclusive materials, they remain a vital resource, preserving the immense history and cultural diversity of the United States and the world, including the contributions and legacy of LGBTQ individuals. Benji is the perfect audience for developing readers. Kids are invited to practice reading a book of choice to a little guy with a big heart and bigger ears.
