Upcoming Youth Poetry Festival

Sullivan County's 5th Poet Laureate Kevin Scot Graham would like to invite students to participate in the next Youth Poetry Festival:

"I am delighted to continue the cherished tradition of our county-wide youth poetry festival. In 2025, we will celebrate the 4th consecutive year of this event, which showcases the creative writing talent of our young citizens. I am truly honored to be hosting it. There is no specific theme for poetry submissions, which is intentional. I want to encourage students to express whatever is on their minds."

- Open to all Sullivan County students grades 6-12

- Poem should be one to two pages maximum

*Deadline for Submissions: March 15th 2025*

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention official SUPLA recognition certificate awarded in each category grades 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12.

Each honoree will be given the opportunity to read or have their poem read in front of the festival audience.

Contact Sullivan County Poet Laureate on Facebook and @scpoetlaureate on Instagram for more details.

The Poet Laureate Project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a program of the NYS Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and Sullivan Public Library Alliance
