Let's get Quacking!
This spring, you can also participate in our library Duck Hunt! Eleven ducks are hidden around the library. If you bring one to the desk, you get a prize! Each person can get one prize per day for finding a duck, but you can find as many ducks as you would like if you enjoy the challenge! All ducks are hidden again the next day!

Chair Zumba
Wednesdays, 10:00am

Join EPLM and Dr. Shellie Fraddin for Zumba that is suitable for all fitness levels! Dr. Shellie is a Health Coach, Wellness Educator providing immune-boosting services and programs to older adults for a healthy long life. She’s been teaching Zumba Fitness classes since 2005 and was once called the “oldest Zumba Instructor in the world.”
 


 
Yoga
Wednesdays, 6:00pm
In the Library
In this set of classes, Kristina will familiarize participants with some of the foundational poses of a well-rounded yoga practice. Focusing on alignment, breath and centering your attention, this class is great for beginners or those looking for a refresher on basic yoga postures. Yoga is different in every body and this class is all about taking the time to find what works for you. Suggested readings will also be offered for those interested in deepening their understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice. Some props that may enhance your experience: a blanket or large towel, small pillow or cushion. EPLM has a limited number of mats and blankets available.
 

 
Scrabble

Come play Scrabble at the library! Beginners welcome. Scrabble typically meets in the conference room or ask at the front desk for game location. For adults 18+.

NAACP Youth Commission Storytime for Toddlers 2-4
Fridays, 4pm-5pm
In the Library
Parents of toddlers ages 2-4, come to the library for storytime and help your child grow their imaginations and love of reading! Each week a story reader from the NAACP Youth Council will conduct storytime on Fridays 4:00-5:00pm in the library. Please sign up at the desk! All children must be accompanied by a caregiver at all times.
Family Movie: Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Saturday, May 3, 1:00pm
In the Library
Kids and teens 5-11 and their families are invited to come enjoy this third movie in a movie series featuring a fast talking and even faster running hedgehog and his friends as they face a new opponent. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver. Registration is required.
Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary: A Legacy in Focus Reception

This exhibit invites visitors on a historical journey from 1923 to the present day, highlighting the enduring impact of the Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary. From the hardships of the Great Depression and the wartime efforts of World War II and Vietnam, to President Johnson’s historic dedication in 1966, through the tragedy of September 11 and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic-the Auxiliary has been a constant source of strength and service. From sewing curtains and bed linens during wartime to providing thousands of hours in volunteer service and funding life-saving medical equipment; the Auxiliary has demonstrated decades of unwavering commitment to our hospital and community. This curated collection of archival records, photographs and newspaper clippings honors the remarkable contributions of the men and women of the Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary-paying tribute to their legacy of compassion, dedication and volunteerism.

Re-Wilding Your Garden

This fascinating class will give you practical ideas for how to integrate your aesthetic desires with wildlife supporting plant selections, organic fertilizers and low impact landscaping. We’ll also consider simple steps create a more enriched environment by providing shelter and water that will attract frogs, birds and butterflies!
Painting Craft and Mini Art Show for Kids 5-11

Calling all young artists to take part in our Mini Art Show! Join us on May 15th to paint your masterpiece onto a small canvas, then invite your family and friends to come back to see your artwork on display at the Library! Community Art Show Intake
Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30th, 10:00am-4:00pm

Show your work at our community art show! Anyone may submit one piece of art for the Summer Community Art Show. Only work that the person submitting the art has made themselves will be accepted with the exception of parents or guardians submitting art on behalf of a child under the age of 18. Art cannot exceed 24”X24”. Artwork will be accepted between 10:00am-4:00pm Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30th. Artwork may be declined at the library’s discretion. 
Community Art Show Reception
