What we’re about
The Color of Fandom is a medley of fans who strive to create a diverse and inclusive geek experience. We focus on exploring comics, literature, movies, TV shows, video games, cosplay, and conventions from an underrepresented perspective—including race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and physical and mental differences. Because we believe in the importance of being physically present with others, our group is first and foremost a Meetup group, located in the Triangle region of North Carolina. We engage in movie viewings, book discussions, gaming events, TV show premiere/finales parties, and convention outings. Our members are of different races and ethnicities, ages, genders, and sexual orientations. We feel it is just as important that our members represent diversity as it is to discuss inclusiveness in geekdom.
