The Insiders Club Formerly called the Homebound Service, this club is an attempt to reach patrons who cannot visit the library due to age or disability. Staff curate a personalized list of books for enrolled patrons, based on their tastes and interests. Books, DVDs, and CDs are delivered every other week. This is the true story of Michael Bovill, a twenty-three-year-old active duty member of the United States Coast Guard, who died in a motorcycle accident. Michael’s heart, lungs, liver and kidneys were donated to five recipients. This is the story of how Michael lives on, not only in the recipient’s lives, but in those that Michael’s story has touched. Through the stories of the organ recipients, Michael’s family and friends, faith leaders, and medical experts, Michael’s Legacy explores the world of organ transplantation, and how one man’s final act of heroism left a lifelong and overwhelmingly positive impact. This course is online via Zoom ONLY.
