Join us for our Summer Reading Kick-Off Weekend!

Explore the

Dinosaur Museum Experience

Celebrate Summer Reading and unearth a story! Explore hands-on fossil touch tables, real dinosaur bones under microscopes, and life-size models and replicas that bring ancient giants to life.

All ages are invited to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and explore an interactive dinosaur exhibit during this exciting kick-off to summer.

Two chances to explore this traveling museum!

This immersive exhibit from Magical Storyteller’s Traveling Dinos Museum brings real fossils, museum-quality dinosaur replicas, stunning paleo art, and kid-friendly exploration together in one unforgettable event.

• Touch and investigate real and replica fossils at the fossil touch tables.
• Examine bones, eggshells, and dino remains up close under digital microscopes.
• Check out a curated collection of dinosaur books from our “Dinobrary” to read on site or borrow.
• Learn fascinating stories about creatures like T. rex, triceratops, raptors, and ancient sea monsters.

Please plan around scheduled museum staff lunch breaks: the museum will be closed 3:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, June 5 and 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

Creating a new Beanstack account in the app:

1. Open the app and tap "Find your school or library."

2. Type "Kokomo" and then choose "Kokomo-Howard County Public Library (IN)" from the list.

3. Tap "Sign up!" at the bottom of the screen.

4. Follow the prompts to create your account and add readers. 

   Please Note: When registering a family or a group, we recommend that the adult create the account and list the children or additional adults registering with the group as readers. This makes it quicker for us to look up the whole family when you visit to collect your prizes.

How to log in to the Beanstack mobile app:

1. Open the app and tap "Find your school or library"

2. Type "Kokomo" and then choose "Kokomo-Howard County Public Library (IN)" from the list.

3. Enter your Username and Password. (If you don't remember your username or password click the corresponding link and follow the prompts.)
