Family-Friendly Film: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (PG) Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. Auditorium When the notorious Herdman siblings, the worst kids in town, crash the annual Christmas pageant auditions looking for snacks, they unexpectedly land the lead roles. First-time director Grace, along with her family, must manage both the unruly children and angry townspeople, leading to chaos that ultimately reveals the real spirit of Christmas. Storytime with Santa Monday, Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m. Auditorium Santa Claus will be visiting all the way from the North Pole for a special Storytime! Join us for stories, songs, and more with a festive theme. Children are welcome to come sit with Santa to get their photo taken and tell him what they want for the holidays. This program is for children up to 6 years old and their families. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.

Noon Year's Eve Party Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. Auditorium Would you like to celebrate New Year’s Eve without staying up too late? Then come to Lewisville Branch Library’s Noon Year’s Eve party! Enjoy a New Year’s themed scavenger hunt, crafts, and playtime while you await the countdown to noon, complete with a big dance party, bubbles, and balloons. A photo booth will also be available for you to capture your New Year’s 2026 memories. We can't wait to ring in the New Year with you! Program recommended for children 11 and under.

FCPL Lewisville Branch Reading Contest Logs due Dec. 13
There's still time to take part our yearlong reading contest for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Bookmarks. The contest has two levels: Beginner and Aficionado. You can choose to read one or both levels. Beginner entries are entered once. Aficionado entries are entered twice, and if both levels are completed, you're entered four times to win. Submit entries by Saturday, Dec. 13. The winner will be announced on Monday, Dec. 15.

Hook & Loop Group Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. Auditorium Come and join yarn crafters who like to knit, crochet, embroider, and such. Share each other’s company and maybe a tip or two about a project. Bring your own project to work on or use some simple supplies and patterns we have on hand. All skill levels are welcome. Belly Dancing for Beginners Friday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. Auditorium Get your shimmy on! Put on some comfortable clothes and shoes and join us at Belly Dancing for Beginners. learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as we bring people of all ages together to promote health, happiness, and community. Tai Chi for Beginners Friday, Dec. 5 and 19 at 2 p.m. Auditorium Learn the calming practice of Tai Chi at the Lewisville Branch Library. This form of low-impact exercise and deep breathing is known to reduce stress and improve balance, strength, and flexibility.
An exercise waiver is required, and attendees younger than 18 must have a parental/guardian's signature. Registration opens two weeks before the Dec. 5 and Dec.19 classes and is required.

Books for Dudes Book Club Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. Are you a dude who likes to read? Are you a dude who is curious what other dudes are reading? Are you a dude who wants to get back into reading, but doesn’t know where to start? Then the Lewisville Branch Library has the perfect book club for you. Join us as dudes share, discuss, and recommend their favorite books to other dudes. There will not be a pre-set reading list. The group is recommended for dudes, but all are welcome.

Witchy Washi & Whatnot Crafting Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. Auditorium Our monthly Witchy Washy & Whatnot Crafting group is a great way to meet other crafters and learn to make all sorts of fun projects, many of which include the use of washi tape! Space and supplies are limited, and registration is required.

Computer Training Bridge: Indeed 101 Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. Multipurpose Room This class will teach you the ins and outs of Indeed, an online resource where you search for jobs and post a professional profile and resume to help you network with people in your field. Forsyth County Department of Social Services Drop-ins Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Dec. 5 Multipurpose Room Forsyth County Department of Social Services (DSS) staff members will be on site one day per week to answer residents’ questions, provide information, and help people apply for DSS services including energy programs, food and nutrition assistance, and Medicaid. DSS will also provide on-site assistance and case follow-up for Forsyth County residents with active DSS cases. No appointment necessary. DSS will also be in the following library branches. Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group for Teens Monday, Dec. 1 and 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. Auditorium Have you ever wanted to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons? Are you an experienced player who would like a place to meet up and have adventures? Join the Lewisville Branch Dungeons & Dragons meetup group! The game board, dice, and character sheets will be provided. This program is recommended for teens, but all are welcome. Light snacks will be provided. Signed food waiver required.

Pokémon Club Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. Auditorium Play battle games, meet up with other fans, trade cards, and more at the Pokémon Club. The Lewisville Branch chapter of the club meets every first Wednesday, and the Clemmons Branch Chapter meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Players of all abilities are welcome. Program is recommended for children, teens, tweens, and families.

Money Smart for Teens Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 4:30 p.m. Auditorium Teens, are you ready to take control of your cash? Join us for Money Smart-a fun, no-stress series where you'll learn how to budget, save, and spend smarter. Plus, discover cool books and digital tools to boost your money game! This program is presented in conjunction with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center. This month we’ll discuss defining and setting financial goals. Upcoming - Jan. 13, 2026 - Money Smart: Your Spending & Saving Plan - How to create a spending and saving plan, and ways to increase income and decrease expenses.
- Feb. 10, 2026 - Money Smart: Saving for Your Goals & Your Future - What it means to save, reasons saving money is important, and ways to find money to save.
- March 10, 2026 - Money Smart: Building Your Credit History - Credit reports and how they can affect many areas of your life.

Eat Smart With MyPlate: We Are What We Eat Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 4 p.m. Auditorium Kids will have fun learning about healthy eating, smart food choices, and nutrition through hands-on activities, games, and delicious food demos. This program is a great way to build healthy habits. Recommended for children ages 6-11. This month, kids will learn about different ways to incorporate healthy habits into their everyday lives. Friends Ongoing Book Sale The Friends' ongoing book sale is always open during library hours. PRICES: Hardbacks - $2 Paperbacks - $1 Children's books - $.50 Movies, music, audiobooks - $2 Magazines - $.25 Become a Friends Board Member The Friends of the Lewisville Library Board is looking for new members. As a board member, you'd take an active role in shaping the future of the organization, allocating funds, fundraising and recruiting new members. If you're looking for a way to volunteer in your community and support the library at the same time, then this is a perfect place to start. The board meets at the Lewisville Branch Library every third Monday at 2 p.m. except in July and December.

Holiday Basket Fundraiser The holiday book baskets are here! Do your gift shopping at the library this holidays season. All proceeds go to support the Lewisville Branch Library. The Friends are accepting donations of new, used, or broken fashion jewelry Join the Friends and support your local library If you'd like to know more about the Friends of the Lewisville Library or how to become a member, please stop by the library to pick up a brochure. You can also join their Facebook page, even if you're not a member. All funds raised by the Friends support the Lewisville Branch Library in many wonderful ways--providing new books, audiobooks, DVDs, library supplies, programs and other much-needed items.
