Fun Fatale Trio Spring Concert Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Come hear the sounds of this acoustic band of vocal harmonies, guitar, fiddle, and upright bass as they play selections from the pages of the Great American Songbook, Classic Country Hit Charts, the music halls of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as a variety of other genres and periods. The Trio delivers a high level of musicianship in a quirky and fun style.
This performance marks the opening of the Forsyth County Public Library's Summer Reading timeframe. Summer Reading offers a large lineup of programs and reading challenges for patrons of all ages and runs through July 25.

The Write Stuff Wednesday, May 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium The Write Stuff is a peer-to-peer adult writing group where writers, aspiring and published authors of all types, can brainstorm, provide feedback, and offer accountability to those seeking to finish their writing projects. The group is facilitated by local writing enthusiast Clay Stuart and will meet every fourth Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Belly Dancing for Beginners Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Get your shimmy on! Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as we bring people of all ages together to promote health, happiness, and community. Suitable for all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Share each other’s company and maybe a tip or two about a project. Bring your own project to work on or use some simple supplies and patterns we have on hand. All skill levels are welcome. Books for Dudes Book Club Thursday, May 8 at 6 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Are you a dude who likes to read? Are you a dude who is curious what other dudes are reading? Are you a dude who wants to get back into reading, but doesn’t know where to start? Then the Lewisville Branch Library has the perfect book club for you. Join us as dudes share, discuss, and recommend their favorite books to other dudes. There will not be a pre-set reading list. The group is recommended for dudes, but all are welcome.

Color & Coffee Friday, May 9 and 23 at 10 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Color & Coffee is a morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets, colored pencils, and coffee will be available for participants as well as entry forms for the Forsyth County Public Library Adult Library Card Contest. Lewisville Historical Society Presents ... Home: A Sense of Place with Brian Faulkner Monday, May 12 at 6-8 p.m. Mary Alice Warren Community Center Join us as Brian Faulkner, Emmy® award-winning Public Television writer and narrator, discusses the meaning of home and describes some of the historical homes he wrote about for PBS Carolina's popular Our State TV series. Living in Lewisville for more than 40 years, Faulkner will also talk about some unique, older homes in the Lewisville and surrounding area. In partnership with the Lewisville Branch Library, the Lewisville Historical Society hosts bimonthly presentations ranging from local history to information about historical sites to antiquities. Participants do not need to be members of the society to attend. A short business meeting of the society is held before the featured program begins at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments are served. Personal Finance: Credit Reports & Scores Tuesday, May 13 at 5:30-7 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Join us for an evening of financial literacy basics. This program is not only about credit reports and scores, but also about building productive credit histories and repairing or improving credit, including credit fraud. Rhett Kyle, an agent of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, will be the presenter. Registration is required. Register using the N.C. Cooperative Extension Forsyth County Eventbrite site or by calling the Lewisville Branch at 336-703-2940.
This program is part of a bimonthly personal finance series to be held throughout 2025. Upcoming programs will be held on the Tuesdays as listed below from 5:30-7 p.m. Online registration for upcoming programs will go live approximately three weeks prior to the noted date.

Wild Places in Backyard Spaces Series: Backyard Wildlife: Friends or Foes? Tuesday, May 20 at 2 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium This workshop will cover the identification and behavior of common native wildlife in Forsyth County, how to manage backyard spaces to benefit both wildlife and humans, methods for preventing damage to homes and gardens by wildlife, and more. Witchy Washi & Whatnot Crafting Wednesday, May 21 at 10 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Our monthly Witchy Washy & Whatnot Crafting group is a great way to meet other crafters, and learn to make all sorts of fun projects, many of which include the use of washi tape! May's craft is paper and fabric flowers. Space and supplies are limited to first 12 registrants. Computer Training Bridge: Introduction to Google Docs Wednesday, May 28 at 1 p.m. Multipurpose Room Learn to create and edit text documents right in your web browser—no special software is required. Even better, multiple people can work at the same time, you can see people’s changes as they make them, and every change is saved automatically. Spring Into Action Blood Drive Wednesday, May 28 from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Parking Lot Spring into action this season by lending your arm. The American Red Cross mobile lab will be onsite at the Lewisville Branch Library. Appointments with The American Red Cross are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. FCPL Lewisville Branch Reading Contest Logs due Dec. 13 Take part our yearlong reading contest for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Bookmarks. The contest has two levels: Beginner and Aficionado. You can choose to read one or both levels. Beginner entries are entered once. Aficionado entries are entered twice, and if both levels are completed, you're entered four times to win. Submit entries by Saturday, Dec. 13. The winner will be announced on Monday, Dec. 15.

Friends Ongoing Book Sale The Friends' ongoing book sale is always open during library hours. Donations welcome. PRICES: Hardbacks - $2 Paperbacks - $1 Children's books - $.50 Movies, music, audiobooks - $2 Magazines - $.25 Become a Friends Board Member The Friends of the Lewisville Library Board is looking for new members. As a board member, you'd take an active role in shaping the future of the organization, allocating funds, fundraising and recruiting new members. If you're looking for a way to volunteer in your community and support the library at the same time, then this is a perfect place to start. The board meets at the Lewisville Branch Library every third Monday at 6:30 p.m. except in July.
