Join us for a weekly meetup to play Board Games, including American Mah Jongg! The Library is excited to offer an assortment of board games, including card games, strategy games, party games, and Mah Jongg sets in an inviting space to play each Monday night. After a quick introduction, you'll be off and running with different fun games each week! Participants are also welcome to bring your own favorite games to share. If you would like to play Mah Jongg, please indicate this on your registration; National Mah Jongg League rules will be followed. If you already have a NMJL Card of Standard Hands and Rules, please bring it with you.

The Library is excited to offer Mah Jongg sets, card tables, and an inviting space to play each Wednesday morning. National Mah Jongg League rules will be followed. Informal networking takes place from 9am to 9:30am and 11:30am to noon. If you are unemployed and actively looking, underemployed, seeking a new career direction, re-entering the job market after a long employment gap, or recently retired and looking for your "Encore Career," this networking group program is perfect for you! Remember, 85% of jobs are found through networking! This group is sponsored in part by the Billerica Public Library Foundation in partnership with more than 35 Massachusetts public libraries.

Summary: When Val Goldman asks Barbara Keely to be his wife, he can't possibly envision the chaos it will create between their parents. Val's dad is gay nightclub owner Armand, and his 'mother' is Armand's permanent life partner, Albert, better known by his stage name Starina. Barbara's parents, Senator Kevin Keely and his wife Louise, want to meet Val's `parents', who decide the best plan is for Albert to pose as a woman. Wednesday, June 10, 1:00pm Our monthly Memory Cafe, jointly sponsored by the Library, COA, and Dementia Friendly Billerica, takes place in the Library's meeting room on the second Wednesday of the month. The Memory Cafe is an open and welcoming event for people with memory loss and their care partners. Artist Sherry Hoffman will lead a painting class. Author Alison OLeary takes library audiences on an hour-long trip through 18 small museums in the state, highlighting the best based on criteria like uniqueness, curation and historical value. This program is generously sponsored by a community grant as a part of our Summer Reading Program.
