Fall Into Reading Challenge

October Name Charm Challenge

Each book logged will automatically enter your name into a drawing for a customized name charm generously

Caregivers of very young children may read to/with their children. Winners will be contacted in early November.
 
In-N-Out Reading Challenge
Saturday: Oct. 3-Saturday: Nov. 14
Kids ages 4-12, read to receive up to three free In-N-Out hamburgers, cheeseburgers, or grill cheese sandwiches. Pick up a reading log in the children's room during the program dates.

Pajama-rama Storytime

Read to a BARK Therapy Dog

Kids ages 0-12, read to a BARK therapy dog. Readers will receive a time slot with a dog on a first come, first served basis. Signups start at 6:30PM.

Monster Mayhem: 
Play-Doh Monster Craft
Monday: Oct. 19-Tuesday: Oct. 20
Room 15
Kids ages 4-12, stop by the children's room to read one of the monster books on display, and then grab a DIY monster kit to make a Play-Doh monster at home.

Mini Pumpkin Decorating
Monday: Oct. 19 at 6:30PM-7:15PM
Room 16
Kids ages 3-12, join us to decorate a mini pumpkin to look like a children's book character. We will put your decorated pumpkin on display from October 21-27, and library visitors will vote for their favorite pumpkin.
 
The decorator of the winning pumpkin will win an Elephant and Piggie blanket and pin bundle. Pumpkins will be available for decorating while supplies last. One pumpkin per child.

Beginners' Origami Hour

Looking for a way to get involved, build leadership skills, and shape our Library? Come learn all about our Teen Advisory Board (TAB).  
 
TAB is a student led volunteer group that plans Library programs, discusses books and trends, and helps make the Library a place that you and your peers want to be. TAB is open to ages 14-18 and in high school.
 
Unsure about joining? You can earn a free service hour just for sitting in on your first meeting! If you decide you'd like to commit, you can submit an application. Adults, ages 19+, read and write reviews for a chance to win a Grand Prize this month! Register on the Beanstack website (www.buenapark.beanstack.org) or free app.
 
For each review submitted, you will receive a virtual ticket to put into a Grand Prize Drawing. Readers who complete this challenge by submitting five reviews will earn an extra Grand Prize drawing ticket.
 
Physical books, physical audiobooks, e-books, and e-audiobooks all count. 
 
The last day to submit reviews and enter tickets for Grand Prize drawings is October 31st. Grand Prize winners will be notified the week of November 1st. 

The last day to pick up prizes is November 21st.
