Winter Cottage Painting Saturday, Dec. 3rd 1:00PM-3:30PM Donna Bagley Community Room Kids in Kindergarten-6th grade, come paint a winter cottage. Indigo Cook Crafts will supply all materials. Just bring yourself. Paint time will end at 3:30PM. No registration is required. While supplies last.

Stuffed Animal Weekend Sleepover Drop-off Dates: Dec. 1st-8th Pick-up Dates: Dec. 12th-17th Children's Room Kids of all ages, drop off a stuffed animal for a sleepover and see what mischief it gets into at the library! The library will post photos of the sleepover on our Instagram and Facebook accounts (@buenaparklibrary) on Dec. 12th. We promise to take good care of your stuffed animal friend! Readers will receive a time slot with a dog on a first come, first served basis. All participants 2 years of age and older will be required to wear a mask while participating in this program. Teen Art Contest Tuesday, Dec. 6th-Monday, Jan. 2nd Help us celebrate Drawcember at the Buena Park Library by entering our art contest! Middle and high school students can enter by emailing sbidgoli@buenaparklibrary.org an original, family-friendly drawing. Make sure to include a title for your masterpiece. Once entered, you'll have the chance to win a canvas and sketchpad and have your work displayed in the library! Last day to submit your drawing is Monday, January 2nd.

Calliope Digital Literary Magazine Calliope is Buena Park Library District’s Teen Digital Literary Magazine. Inspired by the Greek muse of eloquence and poetry, our magazine aims to amplify creative voices and raise conversations in the community. Every quarter, a new theme will be announced and middle and high school students who live in or near Buena Park can submit art, poetry, short stories, and media (books, movies, TV shows, music) reviews related to the theme. Participants will not only have their work published, but will be given service hours as a reward for their work.
