Local Young Author's First Book
From Pharaoh's Shadow to Freedom and Glory
by Dominik Thanh Thu Wylie

Local author, Dominik, donated copies of his first book to our branches. This interactive storybook is an unforgettable journey in Ancient Egypt. Fully illustrated, and great for ages 9 & up. It places kids at the heart of the action, letting them make bold decisions, outwit challenges, and shape their own destiny.

A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Lesbian Ojibwa-Cree Elder

Born in a tuberculosis sanitorium in 1952, Elder Ma-Nee Chacaby has experienced a life of both extraordinary hardship and extraordinary resilience.
