Summer Reading 2021: Tails and Tales Virtual Program This year's theme is all about animals and their awesome stories. All events are virtual, with some items available for pickup at the library. To register your child age Birth-12th grade for our program, click here.
Kickoff Party Once you've registered for the program, you'll need to pick up your child or teen's kickoff bags to get started, so please fill out this form if you haven't picked them up yet.
Events Calendar Keep up with all the awesomeness we have planned this summer by linking to our summer reading Google calendar! If you're on Facebook, follow us and keep an eye on our Events page as well.
Participation Tracking Easily track your child's progress on the Reader Zone app or through their website. You'll need a code to join a program. This year's codes are: Birth - Kindergarten: 05c63 1st - 5th Grade: 667d1 6th - 12th Grade: e5289 The grade levels are set as guidelines, but you do not have to strictly follow them when choosing what program your child should join. If you feel they're not ready for an older group, you may choose a younger group. And vice versa. If your child is going into the 6th or 7th grade but you plan to keep them in the children's program, sign them up for the 1st-5th grade group, as it contains the challenges for the program they'll participate in.
Rewards Great news - we won the Dollar General Literacy Grant again for $500 and a Casey's Community grant for $50! As a result, we will once again be able to reward youth participants for meeting their weekly reading goals with gift cards or coupons for free food (while supplies last). Remember, they MUST meet their goal completely each week in order to qualify. We'll distribute rewards & craft supplies every other week, Mon.-Wed., starting with June 14-16. Because the supplies in the pickup will include those for that week's summer reading events, a Mon. or Tue. pickup is recommended. Due to the volume of participating families, please use this form to help us prepare for your pickup NO LATER THAN the day before you plan to pick up your bags.
