Dear neighbor,
The day is almost here. We are thrilled to reopen West Slope Community Library to the public this Friday, August 1. Taking on operations of a second library is a big project for our little nonprofit, Garden Home Community Library Association. Our staff has grown from nine to eighteen people! I am so grateful for the hard work of staff both longstanding and new at Garden Home and West Slope Libraries, as well as invaluable support from our library board and WCCLS.
At Garden Home Library, we've been busy meeting and helping lots of West Slope and Raleigh Hills neighbors this summer, and we hope Garden Home folks will visit West Slope Library soon if you haven't been in a while. While Garden Home will be on a break from Family Storytime in August, West Slope will launch Tuesday morning Family Storytime on August 5! Scroll down for more August events, and stay tuned for even more in the fall. Here are some more upcoming dates of note:
Thursday, August 21 - Garden Home Library CLOSED for staff room upgrade
Saturday, August 23 - Reopening Celebration at West Slope, details coming soon!
Finally, I want to thank you, our loyal library patrons, for your patience and trust. We are excited for this partnership to go public, and to have TWO locations providing excellent library service to our neighbors throughout Garden Home, West Slope, and Raleigh Hills.
Hope to see you at the library!
