Library Building Reopens April 28!
Last day of Express Service April 19
 
The Tigard Public Library building will reopen to the public on Tuesday, April 28 at 10 AM. Full services will be restored with reopening, including: 
  • Holds pickup: You will be able to set your holds pickup location as Tigard Public Library beginning Monday, April 27. Holds that were placed in “inactive” status at the beginning of the building closure will be reactivated. Outstanding holds that were changed to alternate pickup locations will need to be updated. Ask a staff member for assistance. 
  • Book returns: Book returns will open on Tuesday, April 28. 
  • Interlibrary loan: Interlibrary Loans will be sent to Tigard Public Library for pickup starting Tuesday, April 28.  It may take some additional time for items to be sent or re-routed to Tigard after the closure.
  • Room reservations: Starting today, April 3, you can reserve the Technology Room for groups of 4-16 people for up to four hours per week for dates beginning Tuesday, April 28. Reservations for the Library’s three study rooms open Tuesday, April 21. Study room reservations can be made up to one week in advance for groups of 1-6 people for up to two hours per day per group. 
  • Tigard Community Seed Library: The Seed Library is fully stocked and ready for spring. Community members can take up to five packets of seeds per month beginning Tuesday, April 28. 
  • Library of Things: The Library of Things collection will be available in the Library and for Tigard holds pickup beginning Tuesday, April 28. 
Express Library Services will continue Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 10 AM to 6 PM through Sunday, April 19. See Express Library details. 
 
Phone reference and account services will continue from 10 AM to 6 PM during the service transition.

Celebrate National Library Week!
 
National Library Week (April 19-25) is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.
 
This year, we invite you to celebrate by watching the Tigard Public Library Board's presentation to Tigard City Council on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 PM to learn more about our work the past year. 
Happy National Volunteer Appreciation Week!
 
Tigard Public Library is proud to recognize National Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 19-25! 
 
In the past 12 months, 208 volunteers at the library helped in 40 unique roles and contributed over 6,000 hours to Tigard Public Library.
 
If you have volunteered for the library one time or one thousand times, we are so grateful that you chose to share your time and your skills with Tigard Public Library. Whether you helped in the garden, shelved books, served on a committee, or did something else entirely, we can’t thank you enough. Your commitment to the Tigard community helps make the library a community hub for knowledge and enrichment where everyone feels welcome.

Board and committee members are key to informing the development of Tigard's programs and policies. These volunteers dedicate time and expertise to serve as an important link to community needs and represent community values.

Submit your question at the Library's express location and an actual, real-life Teen Library Council member will compose a reply! Fanno Creek Trail Nature Walk

Join us for a walk with Master Naturalist Natalie DaSilva along the Fanno Creek Trail as she identifies some of the plants and wildlife in our area and discusses their importance to the ecosystem and waters of Fanno Creek. Meet in the courtyard outside of Tigard City Hall.
Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.

Signups for Pride Parade & Festival on May 23 Now Live 
 
Get ready to show your PRIDE! Tigard's Pride Parade and Festival, in partnership with Tigard-Tualatin School District, is happening early this year. On Saturday, May 23, the parade will once again start at 2pm and work its way down Durham from 113th to Tigard High School at 92nd. The festival at Tigard High will be indoors this year to keep the fun going if it rains. Parade signups are LIVE and vendor registration is also open now. Go to the event website for additional information and to sign up to table or be in the procession!
