National Volunteer Week

April 20-26 is National Volunteer Week, an annual celebration to recognize the value of volunteer service.

Washoe County Library System currently has 83 active volunteers, 12 of whom have earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award, which represents a minimum of 100 hours worked. In honor of these volunteers and others throughout the county, Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill signed an official recognition of National Volunteer week

To all the volunteers throughout the library system, we offer a heartfelt thanks. Your talent, time, and commitment make a positive impact on staff and patrons every day.
