Summer Reading Kickoff Block Party

Saturday, June 7

11 am–2 pm


Come to the Incline Village Library's third annual block party! There will be activities and information booths from organizations around town. Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and get a free book. Grab a few friends, play a game of cornhole, get a free hot dog, and enjoy fun summertime activities, including:


  • Face painting

  • Graffiti art demonstration

  • Oversized games

  • Live DJ

  • Book sale

  • Bottle rocket launches

  • Incline Green Clean (starts at 9 am)

Spanish Springs Library 20th Birthday Party

More than 265 people stopped in to celebrate with us on May 18 to sign our giant birthday card, eat Indian tacos, help us dedicate a plaque to Sarah Winnemucca, and watch a performance by the Eagle Wings Pageant Dance Group. Enjoy this short video of the event.

There are just a few days left in the current Friends of Washoe County Library book sale. Sunday is bag day — pay $5 for anything you can fit in a supplied bag. As always, the sale is being held next door to the Sierra View Library in the Reno Town Mall.
