Learn to DJ
March 16-17, 3:30-5:30 pm
Downtown Reno Library
 
 
A basic, hands-on introduction to digital deejaying. Make mash-ups, mix songs, scratch, beat match, and create playlists. You might be a natural. Test your creativity and learn a new skill. All ages. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own flash drives, so they can use their own music. Register for a one-hour session.
High Noon with Neal Cobb
Erin Breen's Story as a Journalist and a Storyteller

Erin Breen is an Emmy award-winning journalist, columnist, and writer for television, radio, and print. Her observations of family life and her personal takes on universal issues made for touching stories in the Reno Gazette-Journal. She spent 10 years as an anchor on Channel 2 News. In 2015, Erin moved to Ireland to get her master's degree and tell stories of Ireland in a podcast called Erin's Isle. Today she co-hosts the CBS Channel 2 program Aging is Awesome. This event is presented by the Nevada Historical Society.

Learn and Make in the Quad

This week we will be working with the vinyl cutter and heat press. You can make a simple sticker for your car window or water bottle, or you can make a personalized tote bag or T-shirt. Choose a simple, two-tone image from the internet, or bring a flash drive with an image file you created.
