Our 2025 Summer Reading Challenge ended yesterday. We'd like to thank everyone who participated. Nearly 700 people completed the challenge, with more than 12,000 hours read.
Kids can collect the books they earned by visiting any branch before the end of August. Adults can redeem their Summer Reading Challenge vouchers at the upcoming Friends of Washoe County Library book sale or at any branch book sale. |

The next Friends of Washoe County Library book sale starts Saturday. As always, the sale is being held next door to the Sierra View Library in the Reno Town Mall. You can get early access to the sale Friday, August 1, 3–6 pm, by becoming a Friends member now or at the door.
