Northwest Reno Library Reopening

Northwest Reno Library.

We're excited to announce the reopening of the Northwest Reno Library on Monday, September 21. The branch closed on May 6 for heating and cooling replacement and a roof retrofit. 


Celebrate the reopening with us as we kick off fall events throughout the week. Wednesday, September 23, marks the debut of the Yiddish Book Group. At 5 pm, the group will discuss Sholem Aleichem's Tevye the Dairyman. On Thursday, September 24, at 4:30 pm, the celebration will continue as we welcome the San Francisco Yiddish Combo.

Join us for Hobbit Day, and celebrate all things Lord of the Rings and J.R.R. Tolkien! There will be games, crafts, snacks, and more. Costumes encouraged! Come dressed as a hobbit or as your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Registration is appreciated.

Klezmer Music with the San Francisco Yiddish Combo

Join us in a celebration of community, music, and Jewish culture as we welcome the San Francisco Yiddish Combo for an introduction to klezmer music. 


Made up of classically trained musicians who enjoy stretching musical boundaries, the group is on a journey around the world to present their own unique blend of everything that is klezmer.
