Saturday, May 9, 6 pm
Join us for a special after-hours program, 60 Years of Stories, an evening of history, film, and community connection. Light refreshments will be provided.
6 pm – Doors open 6:15 pm – Opening announcements
6:30 pm – Panel discussion and viewing of A Black Springs Homecoming: Finding History, a film directed by Tsanavi Spoonhunter and presented by Nevada Humanities.
Bomb shelter tours will be available throughout the evening. We’ll be offering public guided tours that give visitors a rare behind-the-scenes look at this unique space and its place in local history. This is a special opportunity to discover a hidden part of the library you may never have seen before. |

Northwest Reno Library Closing for Renovations |
The Northwest Reno Library will be closed for heating and cooling system replacement and roof retrofit starting Wednesday, May 6, with an anticipated reopening planned for late summer 2026. |

Due to construction at the Reno Town Mall, book donations cannot currently be delivered to the Friends at their usual location. Please bring your donations to the Sierra View Library instead.
