Students are introduced to the engineering design process through a short video clip, a read aloud, and an engaging hands-on activity. The challenge is to construct a strong building out of tape and index cards, using one common architectural shape. |

Holiday Closures |
All Washoe County Library locations will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, for New Year's Day.
On Tuesday, December 31, all locations will close by 4 pm. The Duncan/Traner Community Library, Gerlach Community Library, and Verdi Community Library & Nature Center will be closed all day, and the Senior Center Library will close at its normal time of 1 pm.
