Battery Recycling at the Library

Redwood Materials recycle rechargable batteries & devices

Washoe County is partnering with Redwood Materials and Nevada Tech Hub to bring lithium battery recycling bins to several library locations.

These bins provide a safe option for the recycling of household items containing rechargeable lithium batteries. Accepted items include phones, laptops, tablets, cordless power tool batteries, electric toothbrushes, wireless headphones/speakers, and most other lithium-ion and rechargeable devices.

They are available inside the Downtown Reno, Sierra View, South Valleys, and Sparks libraries during regular hours of operation.
