Thanksgiving Holiday Closures |

On Wednesday, November 26, most Washoe County Library locations will close at 4 pm, and the Duncan/Traner, Gerlach, Senior Center, and Verdi libraries will be closed all day.
All Washoe County Library locations will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving and Family Day holidays. |

New Materials Delays
Recently, the main supplier of books for Washoe County Library System, Baker & Taylor, went out of business. The recent closure has had a significant impact on library systems across the country, including ours, and, consequently, we’ve had to reorder many of our materials.
Our Technical Services department is working hard to find replacement vendors. However, we do anticipate some delays during this transition — new releases will likely arrive later than their publicized release dates, and patron requested material will take longer to arrive than usual. |
