Kids keep up their reading habits with our LEGO™-themed reading challenge and a chance to win LEGO™ prizes. Look for a reading log from your Sherwood elementary school or at the library.
Turn in reading logs by January 14, 2024.
READ TO THE DOG
Build reading confidence and improve reading skills by reading to a dog. The dogs and their trainer will listen with compassion and without judgment as you read to her. Sign up for a 20 minute session. Every second Saturday of the month.

TODDLER STORYTIME
Ready to sing, dance, play and listen to interactive stories? Then you're ready for Toddler Storytime! Designed for ages 2-3  years and their caregivers. Ends with 20 minutes of playtime.

Teen Art Contest 2025
From January 6 to February 10, 2025, artists can enter the 2025 Teen Art Contest, hosted by WCCLS. First prize winner will receive a $200 Amazon gift card and a chance to be featured on wccls.org. Artists can enter online at wccls.org or in-person at the library. Artists must be 12 to 18 years old, live or go to school in Washington County, or have a guardian who lives in the county. Please visit the WCCLS website for complete rules and details about how to enter.

The Sherwood Library Foundation [SHELF] was reformed in 2023 to help fund large-scale projects for our library. Library Hours
Sherwood Public Library will close early Tuesday, December 31, and remain closed Wednesday, January 1, for New Year's Day. We will also be closed Monday, January 20, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
