National Library Week Open House
Millions of people across the country visit their libraries each week. What’s the draw? Everything! At Sherwood Public Library, we invite you to visit the library during National Library Week, April 6-12, to explore all we have to offer. This year’s theme is “Drawn to the Library.” Join us for our Open House on Friday, April 11, for cake and refreshments, prizes, and fun activities for all ages!

Celebrating Kindness and Friendship
We Are Definitely Human
by X. Fang

When three mysterious visitors from "Europe" crash-land in Mr. Li's field, he does what any good host would: he invites them back to his farmhouse and offers to help fix up their "car". No, there's nothing strange about these guests at all. Just like other humans, they "make business", "play sportsball" and "wear hat". As the townsfolk also come to the aid of the visitors and the gathering turns into a little party, interplanetary relations reach an all-time high.

Your Letter
by Hyeon A. Cho

Sori Lee is hoping for a fresh start at her new school--which is easier said than done when every single thing reminds her of why she transferred. As luck would have it, an anonymous letter taped to the bottom of her desk provides a perfect distraction. Little does Sori know that she's about to embark on the scavenger hunt of a lifetime! What starts off as simple curiosity becomes a healing journey as Sori discovers just how far a small act of kindness can go.

How to Love Better
by Yung Pueblo

Love enters our lives in many forms: friends, family, intimate partners. But all of these relationships are defined by the love we have for ourselves. If we see our relationships as opportunities to be fully present in our healing and learn to love each other better, yung pueblo assures us that we can transform and meet each other with compassion instead of judgment.
