Learn how to get your garden off to a solid start. From soil, to fertilizer, raised beds or in ground, how often to water, sun requirements, and so much more. Your first leap into gardening will be full of confidence after this course.

Spice Club

 Each month, expand your palate and try something new by picking up a Spice Club packet from the circulation desk! Every packet will include a sample of a unique spice or herb, information about its origins and flavor profile, and 2 recipes. Registration is not required for this grab-and-go, but samples are only available during regular library hours from December 8th through the 13th on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit one packet per patron while supplies last.

Discover the art of paper folding in this fun and relaxing origami class!  No experience needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy a hands-on activity for all skill levels.

Sound Bath Therapy with Emily Gibson & Sarah Rinaldo

May 15th, 3 - 4 pm
 
Therapist Emily Gibson, MS, LPCC and Sarah Rinaldo MA, LPCC will be onsite to lead patrons through a mediation and sound bath with crystals, singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, drums, and chimes. 
 
No Registration required. Adults. 
 
Self Defense Class
  Adults
May 19th, 2 -3 pm 
 
Learn practical techniques to help protect yourself and stay aware of your surroundings in this introductory self-defense class. This session will cover basic strategies for personal safety, situational awareness, and simple defensive movements that can help build confidence in everyday situations. No prior experience is needed, and participants of all fitness levels are welcome.

Afternoon at the Movies

Join us on the third Thursday of each month for an afternoon movie at the library. Each month will feature a different film across a variety of genres—classics, recent favorites, dramas, comedies, and more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie with fellow community members.

Mental Health 101

This presentation offers a welcoming introduction to mental health and why it matters to all of us. We’ll talk about what mental health is, the everyday things that can affect it, and share a few key facts and statistics to help put it into perspective. Together, we’ll clear up common myths, dive into the different mental health diagnoses, and explore simple coping skills and ways to support ourselves and others. We’ll also focus on reducing stigma and creating a more understanding, supportive community where people feel comfortable asking for help.

Puzzlepalooza

Join us for Puzzlepalooza, a jigsaw puzzle extravaganza at the library! Spend the afternoon piecing together a variety of puzzles in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Work on your own or team up with others to complete as much of a puzzle as you can before time runs out. Whether you’re a seasoned puzzler or just looking for a fun way to unwind, all are welcome. 
 
Light refreshments will be provided—just bring your patience and puzzle-solving spirit!

Summer Reading Kick Off
May 30th, 11 - 2 pm
 
Stop by the library from 11a-2p to sign up for this year's Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story. All attendees will receive an early registration tote bag!* We will also have face painting, a dinosaur meet and greet, plus a seed planting station where participants can decorate a clay pot and plant their own wildflowers to take home. No registration required. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
