October is National Library Month!
October is National Library Month, and Ontario Public Library Week runs from October 20 to 26. All residents are invited to celebrate the essential role public libraries play in promoting education, fostering literacy, and strengthening community ties.

Refer a Friend Giveaway!!!

| Share your love of the library with family, friends, and neighbours! Pick up a referral card and give it to someone who doesn’t have a library account yet. When they sign up for a new library card, both of you will be entered into a draw to win some fun library swag! |

| Curious about what it’s like to work at a public library? Adults are invited to enter a draw for a chance to experience a day in the life of a librarian (3 hours maximum)! Visit your local library branch to enter and learn more about the contest. |

Help us name the many book carts used in library branches across Kawartha Lakes! Visit your local library branch to fill out an entry form or use the following link to submit your entries online: https://forms.gle/2KvM3uM53XXtA37Q9. The winning names will be shared on social media, and nameplates will be attached to the book carts.
