SCL CARES

A HEARTWARMING & HELPFUL HAND
A patron in his sixties called us to find a specific short story. His father, in his 90s, is recovering from COVID-19 (on the mend, don’t worry!) and the son wanted to share a special memory with him by reading the story together in the evenings. We were able to track down the story in one of our older collections, and arrange for safe and socially distant curbside pickup. It’s wonderful to hear about the ways families are taking care of each other and bonding over a shared love of books and reading in these strange times. Thanks for trusting us with your needs – and if you need that special story, or just ideas for reading together with your loved ones, please let us help you!
