Classical Music Recital - Saturday December 4
Sixteen Acres Branch
Saturday, December 4| 1-2:30 PM | All Ages
Back by popular demand, Boris Kogan (cello) and Sofya Shainskaya (piano) will play a wide variety of classical music. The recital will highlight major classical styles and beloved composers such as J. S. Bach, Peter Tchaikovsky, and Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
 
Funding provided by the Rose Smith Fund, with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

Taste Test Tuesdays
Forest Park Branch
Tuesdays| 4-5 pm | Children and Teens
Come sample new snacks every Tuesday at the Forest Park library! We’ll supply anything from international to limited edition or seasonal snacks – open to your suggestions. Ages 5-18.

Art Tiles
Central Library - Teen Area
Wednesday December 8 | 4-5 pm | Ages 13-19 
Join us in the teen room to create a simple, but unique work of art. Give it as a gift, use it as a coaster, or keep it for your own wall-it's all up to you! Ages 13-19 welcome. Spots are limited – please register at the link starting December 1.
Teen Game Night
East Springfield Branch
Wednesday, December 9 | 4:30-7 pm | Teens
Want to do something fun during Christmas break? Stop by for a night of games, snacks and prizes. For every game you play you will collect a ticket. At the end of the night redeem your tickets for a small prize while supplies last.
Teen Photo Scavenger Hunt
All Library Locations
December 1 - 31st |Teens
Get ready to think outside of the box! This December, complete the Teen Photo Scavenger Hunt challenges and earn points for a chance to win an Instax camera! Register online to receive your instructions. Submissions must be received by December 31st. Download the GooseChase phone app or submit via email!

Festive Painted Bottles
East Springfield Branch
December 4 | 11 am -1 pm | Adults – REGISTER HERE
Mason Square Branch
December 11 | 9:30-10:30 am | Adults – REGISTER HERE
Join us for relaxing bottle painting. We’ll make a lighted vessel using paint markers and fairy lights just in time for the solstice.
12 slots are available, so pre-register to be sure you get one!
You're Invited - Coffee Hour for Seniors
Indian Orchard Branch
Tuesdays | 9:30 - 11 am | Seniors 60+ and caregivers
You’re invited to stop by for a visit! Bring along your knitting, grab some books, or catch up with a friend over coffee and a puzzle.  Refreshments provided. For seniors 60+ and their caregivers.
Funded through Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc., the MA Executive Office for Elder Affairs, and the Federal Administration for Community Living.
Mitten Tree
November 29 - December 31 | All Library Locations
Open hours | All Ages
Donations of new mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves may be added to the mitten tree in any library location. Donated items will be distributed throughout Springfield in January. Thank you!

Tuesday, November 30, the 413 Gourmet Club at Sixteen Acres Branch made a Buttered Salmon Dish with Red Onions & Dill from Alison Roman's Cookbook, Nothing Fancy. Want to join this combo cookbook club / cooking demo event next month? Learn more at the link!
