Summer Reading Club Is Here! This summer, children, teens, and adults, join our Discover Your Summer Reading Club to read and get rewards, and enter raffles for prizes! Read 20 minutes a day for 30 days and the library will order you a book of your choice (limitations apply). There will also be take & make activities, fun events & a chance to win a Nintendo Switch Lite! Keep reading to learn more and see what awesome things we have planned.

HOW CAN I LOG MY READING? This year there are 3 ways to obtain a reading log: - Paper reading log from curbside
- Downloadable reading log you can print at home
- Play online instead using Beanstack! Beanstack is our web-based Summer Reading Club software. It allows you to log the days that you have read toward earning a free book and submit reviews toward our prize drawings!
You can pick up your reading log and a Discover Your Summer bag at Curbside Pickup or download and print your own log!

The Resilient Kids' Workbook This coloring and activity book was designed and illustrated by our Children's Librarians to help your resilient kid get to to know themselves better, understand emotions, use calming strategies like breathing and visualization, and know when to ask for help and talk to a trusted adult. It also has a list of local and national resources. Schedule your curbside pickup and grab a copy!

TAKE & MAKE ACTIVITIESVisit your nearest library location to get a “Take and Make” activity bag for toddlers, kids, and teens. (Pick up using Curbside Pickup.) Each month, branches will offer a different themed bag. For the month of June, discover: - Pom-Pom Playset for children under 5

To Bee or Not to Bee- End of Summer Event Saturday, August 28, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM East Forest Park Branch Library 136 Surrey Rd Springfield, MA 01118 Families! Join us on the lawn at the East Forest Park branch library to learn about pollinators in this exciting performance complete with puppetry, clowning, dance, live music and lots of audience participation. "To Bee or Not to Bee" tells James' comic, tragic and ultimately hopeful story - Piti Theatre Company created the show to raise awareness about the honeybee's plight and gives children and adults tools for helping pollinators thrive in their communities. For families of all ages.
