Featured authors this month:
  • Kristin Bailey, from Greene County, grew up in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley in California. In the course of her adventures, she has worked as a zookeeper, a balloon artist, and a substitute teacher. Now, in addition to an author, she is a military wife and the mother of two children and several very spoiled pets. Find out more at KristinBailey.com.  Book Featured: The Silver Gate, c2017. In Elric’s tiny village, people think children like his younger sister, Wynn, are changelings left by fairies. As a baby, Wynn was born with developmental delays, and according to the rules, she was supposed to be abandoned in the woods. Instead Elric’s mother saved his sister and hid her away for eleven years. They live in secret, yet their home is full of love and laughter.  But when their long-absent father returns to sell Wynn to the Lord’s castle as a maid, Elric and Wynn learn to depend on each other above everything else and they seek safety – beyond the Silver Gate.
  • David Kettlehake, from Warren County, is the author of two books and he’s a die-hard supporter of the British soccer team, the Fulham Football Club. When you finish one of his books, he hopes you breathe a satisfied sigh and wish there were just a few more pages.  Book Featured: Fever, c2016. Frankie Brubaker, the woman Ari loves but can never have, has been abducted from the hospital where she works. There’s no ransom note, and no contact from the kidnappers. With his past experience working for the FBI, this type of investigation is right up Van Owen’s alley. He uncovers clues that point to Frankie being held outside of the country, somewhere in the Amazon jungle. But what Van Owen can’t determine is why. Before he can put the pieces together, the kidnappers are back – only this time they’ve targeted Van Owen, and their intentions are clear: they’ll either take him, or they’ll take him out.
