The Power of Women:
Celebrating Women from Western and Central Massachusetts from the 1600s to the Present Day

The Women’s Fund is hosting a book event in Springfield celebrating The Republican’s latest publication, The Power of Women. The event begins with a social hour at 5PM where you can purchase the book, meet editors & contributors, and enjoy light refreshments.  The social hour will be followed by a presentation where we’ll hear from book editors Wayne E. Phaneuf and Joseph Carvalho III, book contributors Janine Fondon and Mary Ellen Lowney, and see the video about the book that was viewed at the launch party in October.

The Power of Women recognizes over 1,000 extraordinary women who have shaped our community with chapters covering the colonial era; education; social and political activists; authors, poets, editors & publishers; politics, law and government; healthcare; work; military service; science, technology, engineering and mathematics; artistic heritage; philanthropists; music; sports; stage and screen; and other women of note.

The book will be available at the special price of $34.95, plus tax, at the event which will take place in the Community Room at 1350 Main Street, Springfield.

The event is free, but please register as seating is limited.

Many thanks to New Valley Bank for sponsoring our book event!
