RESCHEDULED!! Adventures in Plant-Based Cooking for Teens

RESCHEDULED!! Adventures in Plant-Based Cooking for Teens

Due to the high likelihood of thunderstorms tomorrow, we have rescheduled this event to August 27th.  In addition, we are opening up registrations to kids and adults too!  We are asking that all children under 7 be accompanied by an adult, so that there is a one-to-one ratio for our youngest chefs :)

We will still plan on holding the workshop at the Birdhouse Farmer's Market; however, if we run into rain again, we will move it to the Children's Activity Room at the Main Library (101 E. Franklin St. Richmond, VA 23219).

For more information, please contact Jenn Deuell at jennifer.deuell@richmondgov.com or 646-4740.

Come discover the world of cooking!

Twila Jane, local artist, gardener, and vegan culinaress, is back with another teen cooking workshop at the Birdhouse Farmers Market.  This year we'll be traveling the world via your taste buds.  Learn about how vegans in different part of the world experience food.  Then make your own international vegan meal.  Class time includes a short intro to healthy plant-based eating, learning how to shop seasonally and locally at a farmer’s market, and preparation of a three course meal to be enjoyed family-style. No experience necessary, food allergies are ok!

Space is limited and registration is required.

*Please note that this program takes place at the Birdhouse Farmers Market located at 1507 Grayland Ave., Richmond, VA 23220.
