Preteens and teens ages 11 – 17 can now sign up for our Summer Reading Program. This year we will be using the website program READsquared to track participation, earning digital badges and real prizes along the way! This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story, and we hope you will join us for some fun activities centered around magic, fairy tales, and legends.
The program will run from June 22 to August 15.
Points
READsquared will reward you for points and digital badges as you read and complete missions. The finishing goal is 1000 points.
1 minute of reading = 1 point
Each mission completed = 50 points
What are Missions?
Missions are challenges that you complete for points! We will introduce a new Challenge every week. Complete the challenge at home and upload a picture to READsquared to get your points!
Since we don’t know what access everyone will have to the Library building, we will distribute all prizes at the end of the program. We will be tracking prize winnings over the summer, and then bundling everything together at the end. All prizes must be picked up at the library, we will not be mailing prizes.
