The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Thank you to Staples for one of the most iconic commercials ever, the back to school commercial the most wonderful time of the year. Parents love it, kids not so much. At the library, we love back to school time. After facilitating a summer reading program for 781 children this summer, we are happy to take a back-seat role and support families, children, and teachers to have the best school year ever!
Our friendly staff are ready to help with those difficult school projects and papers, and we are excited to share a full of range of reading titles to recommend for silent reading time. Our eResources offer an array of databases to support learning. Solaro is an online study and exam preparation tool to support learning for grades 3-12. TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated storybooks and educational games (and much more). World Book Online is a resource must for busy families. This online encyclopedia offers information for projects and is appropriate for all grades. The library offers free access to computers and can further support students with printing, scanning, and photocopying. Stop by the library for an impromptu lesson on how to use our databases, online catalogue, and how to navigate our collections.
Our collections are as varied as the imagination of a student. If we don’t have the resource a student needs, we will seek it out and then bring it in from a different library. Additionally, our afterschool programs resume the second week of September, so we hope to see you there. Let us help you make back to school truly the most wonderful time of the year!
