College Access Plan is offering a virtual workshop on Tuesday, May 12 at 5:15 PM for PUSD seniors who plan to enroll at Pasadena City College. Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. We will be joined on the call by Alan De La Vara, PCC Outreach, and Elroy Pinks, a PCC transfer rep.

Some tips from College Access Plan

High School Seniors
• Check to-do list in admissions portals at least 1x per week.
• Set up their WebGrants portal.
• Complete income verification (if requested).
• Order tax transcripts here.
• Compare financial aid awards carefully.
• Apply for scholarships.
 
For Juniors
The May administration of the SAT has been canceled. During this time, juniors should consider:
  • Creating college lists.
  • Working on personal statements/PIQs
  • Studying for the SAT on Khan Academy

 

For all high school students: AP tests have been canceled.

Foundation Grants to Individuals Online: Searchable database of grantmakers you could contact for financial aid. This subscription database is available on the computers at La Pintoresca Library or on your own computer using La Pintoresca's WiFi.  Ask staff for assistance.

FreeTestPrep.com is a website where you can get practice tests for the SAT, ACT and GED, as well as flashcards, guides and more.  When you miss a question on the practice test, their answer comes with a video explanation of how to do it correctly.  Some content will work best on Firefox or Chrome.  Must have Flash Player installed.
