Financial Planning for Library Employees

 One of the many services libraries offer is financial literacy education. Yet, library staff can have specific questions about their own financial planning that remain unanswered. To help them answer some of those questions and get a better grasp of their financial future, Dr. John Burnett will discuss some of the important aspects of financial planning and investing for those working in libraries.

About the presenter: Dr. John Burnett is an Associate Professor in the Finance Department of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Alabama in 1992. His areas of teaching include Finance, Investments, and Portfolio Management. His academic interests include Behavioral Finance and Investments. In 2015, he participated as an instructor in Smart Investing @your Library, a grant program that helped libraries provide resources for financial education, held at the Huntsville Madison County Public Library.
